LARRY MAGES, Broker & Auctioneer of Mages Land Company and Auction Service is one of only a handful of premier real estate salespeople in Minnesota that have consistently sold many millions of dollars worth of real estate year after year. Having sold hundreds of homes, farms, hobby farms, livestock enterprises, hunting parcels, apartment houses, retail and service businesses, commercial properties, and residential and commercial lots throughout Minnesota. He also has sold many millions of dollars worth of private property at auction, including farm machinery & livestock equipment, construction equipment, antiques of every kind, recreation vehicles, business inventories, time shares, really pretty much anything you can imagine, he’s sold it. Larry has fine tuned and perfected his knowledge of the real estate and auction businesses and has extensively passed that knowledge on to each Mages Land Company and Auction Service agent and auctioneer. He has extensive experience selling by both the private sale method and the auction method. As an example of what Larry has done, he was recently commissioned to sell four separate properties that were on the market for many years by other real estate companies. Mages listed them, worked with the sellers as to what needed to be done and sold them. People from throughout the United States call on Mages Land Company and Auction Service to sell their property because they know what it takes to get the job done.
Larry and his wife Maggie have lived on the same farm since 1971. He’s been a community leader for most of his life, a member of many area organizations and has been an officer in most of them. He is also active in his church, taking a role at services, a board member several times and a musician and song leader for decades. He also does extensive volunteer work, doing about 15 benefit auctions per year and another 15 or so benefit music engagements. He’s been in the business world his entire life. He farmed for 26 years before renting out their land when he just became too busy with real estate and auctions. Larry and his wife Maggie also built up a swine breeding stock business that became nationally known, selling boars and gilts nation wide to farmers and other breeding stock herds and universities. When a hog disease devastated that business in 1989, Larry went and got his Real Estate and Auctioneer licenses. You would have to look a longtime to find someone with the knowledge, motivation, and expertise that Larry brings to the Real Estate and Auction world.
