If you haven’t seen my face helping out Mages Land Company & Auction Service, you soon will be! I had always thought of becoming an auctioneer due to attending many auctions from little on. I enjoyed helping set up for an auction, working in the ring and just being involved with the whole process. The time had come when “hey” I’d like to try becoming a auctioneer.
So that’s when it all began. I went into Mages Land Company and talked with Matt about becoming an auctioneer and got all the details for an upcoming auctioneering course in August 2014. I came back from auctioneering classes and just kept practicing. Matt said he wanted to hear me chant and lucky for me it turned out well. Matt decided to turn me lose and start chanting at upcoming auctions.
I also work full-time as a Correctional Officer for Brown County for the past 11 yrs. I’ve been a volunteer on the Winthrop Fire Dept for over 18 yrs, Winthrop ambulance, seed dealer and also I’m a farmer.
I enjoy being with the public and visiting with all the folks. Life is good. Life is fun. Best of all “you learn something new everyday.”
We live in Winthrop. My wife Jennifer and I have two daughters. We enjoy doing fun things together as a family and at times it can be difficult to juggle. So far it’s working for me and I’m lucky to have great bosses who allow me to switch things up. So for now, I’m just going to enjoy all the hats I wear and the newest is cowboy style representing Mages Land Company & Auction Service, LLC.
